The research on effective curriculum and instruction is out there. Let’s put it to good use and enable students to reach their highest potential.
ALL students. ALL students have the right to an appropriately challenging curriculum and effective instruction. Those in the field that think we need special categories for learning based on color or income need to step aside.
Provide teachers with the tools they need to do the job. Colleges of education should be accountable for what happens in that classroom.
Use the data gathered on individual student achievement year to year as the accountability piece across the board. It is the only thing that matters.
Redesign the system to better serve student learning needs.
Reward the teachers, schools and programs that are doing a great job enabling students to reach their highest potential.
